Coach and I drove up to the north coast yesterday and had fun small waves at a place called 'chickens', first time I have surfed it in nine years, but, it did the job. Got us in the water for a splash, couple of wipe outs and fun.
I have been lucky this winter as have invested in seven weeks of surf coaching from Mike (coach 1) and Tim (coach 2), will do a feature on these two individuals over the next month or so.
Anyway, today the surf is flat so have been lurking in the sun, just chilling out and trying to rest my shoulder which I injured surfing at the jewel.
Have just started my second book after reading 'Mudbound' by Hillary Jordan which was an excellent read and also scary to the bad old ways of the south.
The second book is called 'Small Island' by Andrea Levy which won a Whitbread Novel Award.
The surf is due to start building from the North West later and we should get two periods of good surf starting this weekend then next Tuesday. What a bonus! Six nations rugby back on this weekend plus surf, excellent!
