It is going to be a busy summer here in the UK with most opting to stay and have their short breaks or holidays in the UK this year. The nice people at Visit Wales have estimated that an extra 5 million people will be heading to Wales this year alone!
My friends in Newquay, Cornwall tell me that their bookings are up on last year already so it looks like the people of Britain are going to bring us out of the credit crunch with their own actions (spending their cash in the UK).
There are some great deals around at the moment with campsites charging £5 p.p per night and hotels offering a stay for £40 including breakfast and use of the health suite. (places to stay Newquay or places to stay Swansea)
Compared to Europe at the moment our prices are great value, on Tuesday in the White Rose pub Mumbles I had a pint of beer for £1.69 what would you get for that in Europe?
Anyway, don't forget the rugby is on this weekend with some big matches especially for the Ospreys who have a tough match against last years winners Munster.
As regards the surf this weekend it is looking like we will be running surf sessions @ Caswell Beach today and Good Friday, then Saturday and Sunday we will be at Rhossili Beach, Gower
