This is madness... one step beyond to 'Madstock'
My mum would not let me go to a similar Madstock concert held in the East end over 30 years ago with the older boys from school, as I was too young. Funny thing is looking around the crowd last night I still felt young, as most of the Nutty followers were now in their late forties/early fifties.
Anyway, even with putting up with the typical weather we have become accustomed to for this time of year it was all worth it for a beer and a cockney knees up with other 'Nutty Boys and Girls' on my old stomping ground of the East End.
Here is a clip of some Madness before I dropped my phone, did not want to spill any beer ! (ten press ups if you do) > Madness @ Victoria Park
Any way a big well done to Hackney and Tower Hamlets Councils for organising Madstock.
Thanks to the Dundee Arms (Bethnal Green opposite York Hall) for still serving a good pint over twenty years on and the donor kebab man in Mile end for feeding us.
Well done to Madness and the Pogues, now the next big group to see in November is the Specials who are coming to Cardiff only three hours from the east end but a million miles away.
Which reminds me, picture below was taken at Paddington by myself showing a gorgeous Gower beach enticing smog dwellers to Gower and Swansea...
