At last the time has come to start packing boards and getting ready to hit the road (or airport), the season is over and with a macking swell heading down south, followed by another later in the week I am glad that I can now relax and go and catch some real atlantic bombs.
I am only taking two boards on this trip, a quad for smaller - medium days and a 'Darcy' 7'4 gun custom shaped for me by the man himself. I have been hitting the swimming pool for the last month and training has been going well, the next two weeks will be part of that programme aimed at getting me ready for the North shore and Sunset Beach in January 2010.
