Russell Winter winner of 2011 Relentless Super Series receives Boardmasters Wild Card
Relentless Boardmasters is the biggest surf event in the UK and a proving ground for the best surfers in the world. This years prize money set at a UK record breaking figure of $155,000 will provide a great incentive to see the performance level rise yet again.
UK hopes will be pinned on Russell Winter who will receive a Wild Card, seeding him into the round of 96 in the event. Two other Wild Cards will also go out to top British surfers: Oli Adams from Newquay and Jayce Robinson from St Ives.
Newquay based Russell received his wild card due to his outstanding performance last year winning the Relentless Super Series. Three events on the UK Pro Surf Tour held during 2011 with venues at Prime surf location: Lynmouth, Thurso and Newquay. This year’s Relentless Super Series starts later in the year with its first stop at Lynmouth in Devon.
