Down tools, the sun was setting and a small swell running down along Gower coastline. The weather was fantastic and has been for a couple of days now. The forecast is for more of the same for the rest of the week, at last. We have all just gone through 3 months of rain and miserable dark autumn like evenings.
Here are some shots of my attempt to get good at this ancient form of surfing even though it is new to our shores, and I have to say it is really hard but very rewarding.

The board is 12 foot long, I made the mistake of carrying it on my head the other day and ended up feeling like flat stanley, my head hurt for four days!!
I actually managed to catch three of these massive waves, am hoping to be ready for winter fun on this, but have a long way to go in my surf progress on these stand up surfboards.
