The Eddie is on hold today due to the stormy conditions, the surf is still building and the wind is due to return to trades tomorrow so the bay will be good. Enjoy your Sunday...simon @ Gower surf school
Enjoy the pictures, tried various angles even climbed out on the point in the arvo, went out for a paddle in the p.m every other surfer on the north shore had the same idea, I counted over 50 in the water most of who had bigger surfboards than I. You can see why all the crew are towing nowadays. Click on the pictures for larger images, enjoy.
Last year the guys sorted me out with my tow gear and gave me a good rate, this year L J got me a nice old Willis bros board for bigger days. Amos nicknamed it the 'old man's toe nail' due to its colour and state...never mind it paddles good and for £125 it is fine.
Anyway the point of this blog is to thank the guys at this surf shop in Haleiwa for their great customer care and actually knowing what they are talking about, which in surf shops nowadays can be a rare experience. If you are ever on the North shore make sure you pop in and visit the guys they have a wide range of surfboards new and used, plus Amos really liked the cool clothes selection in there (thank God the dollar is cheap against the pound at the moment!) Anyway going surfing now- well done to Wave Riding Vehicles of Haleiwa.
This is a pretty cool surfers tool website, checkout the north shore forecast for this week.. looks like after the worst December, January 2008 is getting it all back on track....

Small super clean waves today and more forecast for 2morrow, by the way small on the North shore means overhead and whilst sat on the beach saw one board become two and another guy have his leash snap after pulling into a sick pit. This first picture was taken by amos shows me putting all the Christmas food to good use and setting my inside rail.
Like ants we all trade places throughout the day thank God the surf stays pretty much the same most of the day.
