'This is the best I have ever surfed..' Swansea student Candy seen above screamed at Greg, Danny and I after coming out of the water. It was rewarding to see how a few sessions of video analysis in the evenings after dinner had made such an impact on her surfing. Candy is stoked... Live, Surf and Travel
Surf a bit smaller today, but the sun is shining and harrys lefts will be fun again, surf getting smaller 2morow and then whamo for Saturday onwards looking very big so could be on with Harrys point hopefully breaking big or the jewel in the crown doing its thing > Surf Portugal
Here is Claire Swansea Met Uni surf team captain dropping in on a Chris Harris Quad which she was ripping on. The difference this board has made to her surfing is quite amazing.
The waves here offered something for everyone and we all filled our boots.
What a great deal, get sick water shots and also get a guy that has a wealth of experience in travelling, plus I have got to say he knows how to cook good camp food.
Then dave Jones is your man here are some of his shots taken in Wales recently and am in the process of uploading his recent surf trip pictures... Dave Jones Live, Surf and Travel.. click here > Surf photography Dave is available for surf travel shoots and local Swansea, Welsh coast trips > Contact Us
Surf took a rest yesterday, but still enough swell for everyone to get in and fill their boots. Here is 'the ruler' taking off (he stands so straight that you could draw a straight line along him.) Today is a different story with a growing swell 4-5ft at the moment and building so should be a good day for 'marmalization' (Dan Mullins word)
Hopefully post some pics later.
Currently sat here looking at the web and just checking that I am not missing anything on Gower, not sure if you have seen these new shots from top local Gower Surf photographer Dave Jones > Surf shots he will be sending more soon from his recent trips.
Favourite video of the week is a toss up between the nut case that skied down the escalator in London and the kayakers in Wales: Ski London or Xtreme Wales not sure think they both deserve medals for being out there, well done guys. The winner could be this guy though > Sliding
Grandad popped around the other day and gave me a bag of Hula girl coffee from the islands. I made a cup this morning whilst sat watching the cold northerly winds and grey skys over Swansea Bay.
Wow, what a taste, it is lush and even though I planned not to go back 2 the North Shore this winter I have decided that perhaps a 2 or 3 week visit in the late season may be on the cards (if there is any room left on them!)
Don't forget the contest of all contests starts December 8th and I just hope that they get better surf than last year.
Local Gower surfers Emily and Lee will be on the beach out there so looking forward to seeing their pics on Facebook and watching the contest live on > http://billabong.com/pipelinemasters08/
Itchy feet all because of a particular tasting coffee called 'Hula Girl" now that is weak!
