It's been a glorious day here on Gower, today we had surfing lessons at Caswell Bay and Rhossili Beach. It was minus 2 as the guys got out of their warm clothes and climbed into the wetsuits after a warm up on the empty beach they were all soon in the water enjoying the glassy winter conditions.

I saw these pictures on Mel's facebook page and thought they would be good to use as a coaching tool. Mel and Jim brought a group of young people from Kent to Gower for a week of surfing with us.

Izzy turned 7 last Friday, she stood on a board with the help of Beth Mason, Gwen Spurlock, Josh Hammett and Becky Templeton at the age of 4 in North Devon. Here she is catching her first wave of the summer @ Caswell Beach.

What to do when the summer comes to end? How about surfing with us indoors at the LC in Swansea. Lessons cater for all levels from beginners upwards and lessons will be taken by our SurfGSD coaching staff, contact us to book your surfing spot indoors
Alternatively how about coming out to the South West Portugal with us on a surf trip geared towards pushing your limits. This trip is ideal for those that are up and riding. The idea is to surf three times a day and therefore not ideal for those that want to party.

Well the air temp was a boiling one centigrade and the sea requiring your full rubber 5 mil suit, yet, a group of young people and parents from Swansea hit the clean 1-2 ft waves breaking here on Gower today. This Christmas eve session is becoming more popular as the years go by and lets hope that next year we will have snow on the beach !
