6.0 NIght surf at Fistral this weekend with Britain's top surfers, just do it!

TOP SURFERS RETURN TO FISTRAL THIS WEEKEND FOR NIKE 6.0 NIGHT SURF

Britain’s finest surfers are getting ready to hit Fistral Beach, Newquay this weekend, for the first 6-star Men’s Open at the Nike 6.0 Night Surf, which is part of the UK Pro Surf Tour. With a solid 3ft to 4ft swell predicted for the competition, surfer’s skills will be tested over two days and nights, in a bid to win a share of the lucrative £15,000 prize purse.

32 Men will battle it out for a cut of the £8,000 fund in the Open division, the largest ever on the UK Pro Surf Tour. The event will also encompass Women’s Open, Longboard, Pro Junior, U-16 Boys, U-16 Girls and U-12 divisions.

Newquay’s own Russell Winter and three times winner of the event Alan Stokes will be fighting for first place alongside the Nike 6.0 trials winner, Johnny Fryer, Isle of Wight.  Other confirmed riders include last years’ winner and former second in the world longboarder, Ben Skinner.  Australia’s Amy Stewart is seen as the woman to beat, who will be up against the 2010 winner of the UK Pro Surf Tour Women’s Division, Gwen Spurlock.

Nike 6.0 are proud to announce one of their most talented surfers, Charly Martin, from Guadalope will be jetting over for the UK leg of ‘Cash for Tricks’ tour, a 5-stop European series that awards cash for the most innovative surfing.   Charly will be up against surfers such as; the winner of the Spanish leg, Ruebyn Ash and Harry Timson, who was the highest British finisher in the World Surfing Games in Peru this year. With a £10,000 prize money on offer there is everything to play for.
 
The Competition will run throughout day and night on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July.  Spectators are welcome to come and hang out free of charge and watch the event, listen to the live music, which will include a performance from San Franciscan newcomer, Hanni El Khatib and watch the firework display on the Saturday evening.

Surf lessons and surf equipment hire for this Bank Holiday weekend

Another happy customer escaped from the city for a chilled weekend on the coast this weekend.

Surfing sessions and surf hire for this weeked 11th/12th/13th will be held  at Rhossili beach meeting in the car park next to the famous Wormshead hotel.
