Good Luck Swansea City FC and some excellent news for Swansea Bay Region regarding Rhossili Bay

   Bring back the Capital one cup for the region Swansea City Fc

We all owe so much to the football club for the massive exposure brought to the region, this has certainly been enhanced in part by their (Barcelona) style of football and the professional conduct of all involved with the Swans has also gained much admiration world wide.

The whole of the Swansea bay region will be glued to the TV sets come sunday arvo to cheer on the boys.

It is going to be a fantastic sporting weekend with the 6 nations on Saturday with Wales hoping to win in the olympic stadium, Italy and a cracking game in prospect with England playing the French (if they turn up).

Sign up, sports massage treatments on Saturday mornings at Swansea University Sports Centre

Sue Kent is a a qualified massage therapist working in Mumbles using just her feet to massage. Sue is currently studying sports massage. Part of her training requires that she get “hands on experience” so she is offering sports massage treatments on Saturday mornings at Swansea University Sports Centre, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Clinic Saturdays from 9.00 - 12.00AM 

Sue has an upper limb disability and uses only her feet to massage, She pioneered this technique on surfers and has had very positive feedback so far. 

If you are interested in a massage from Sue call Sue Kent on 07786 848175 to book a treatment . Treatmens are free but if you would like to make small donation towards oils, towels etc, I am sure it would be appreciated.

I Love Mumbles in the summertime

Nothing like driving back home after a trip away, along the Mumbles road when the sun is out and sea sparkling... Of course like most surfers here, constantly checking to see if there are any signs of swell indicating which beach to head to.

Talking of which on Saturday we will be at Rhossili beach, wormshead hotel car park from 10 a.m until 16.00 and on Sunday looks like we will be at Caswell all day.

The Gower, calm before the storm as local surfers get amped

Above Rhossili beach, Gower with small ripples starting  to show as a storm system in the Atlantic is heading our way.  Swell should be here on Friday and could even start showing tonight at exposed spots.

Saturday is looking like super fun with south/south east winds blowing hard, but Sunday is currently looking like the biggest day of the weekend. Run for cover!

Easter Bank holiday is coming, time to visit the beach and learn to surf

Empty Gower beaches, this is the world famous Rhossili Beach taken from the Worms head hotel. The local camping spot closest to this beach is Pitton Cross campsite and we run our gower surfing lessons from here in the Summer.

Below I am walking to one of the famous Gower reefs which provide good waves for surfers when the conditions are right and the second picture is 'welcome back to the UK' full winter gear what a softy as the water is really nice at the moment but I have been spoiled with warm water most of the winter.

Nice to be back in the ocean though, especially a bonus when the sun is shining!

Langland small surf and sun enjoyed by a few today

Sat up in the chalets and enjoyed the warmth of the sun whilst watching a couple of guys surfing small clean waves on the reef.  Spring is coming another winter season drawing to an end and hopefully plenty of days like this for the learn to surf lessons at Caswell Beach and Rhossili bay
