The BKSA (British Kite Surfing Association) are launching their Kite Surfing, Landboarding and Landbuggying UK Championship Tour 2009.
The first event will be held on Swansea Bay, 15th – 17th May 2009, opposite the new Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road. It’s set to be an adrenaline-packed few days with some of the sport’s top names congregating on the Bay to compete for the title in the following categories:
Course Racing Kitesurfing
Freestyle Kite Landboarding
If you’re a proficient rider and fancy your chances in the comp then why not enter – you can find out more details at www.kitesurfing.org. Or if you’ve never picked up a power kite but fancy a go, you can grab a FREE power kite lesson at the event! It’s great fun and Swansea Bay is the perfect location for your first try out – and free tuition from a professional is too good an opportunity to miss!
It’s a family-friendly event and there’s much emphasis on promoting sporting activities for kids so this will be a great introduction to power kiting for children - seeing the pro’s in action plus the chance to have a go on a trainer kite for free!
This will also be a great opportunity for Swansea Bay to gain some long-overdue recognition as a credible venue for these types of events so if you’re around Swansea Bay 15th – 17th May, drop by and join in the fun!
